THEY ARE BACK!
Makes me go back into crazy fangirl mode. Too bad I'm too busy to be a full-time one, only do it before and after office. Gah, I was only a teenage girl when I started being a Triple S and now I am already working and they are 29 and 30 by this year. So old.

Here is their comeback MV, titled Pain.

Everbody's Changing, and so does SS501.

  Leader's comeback this time is somehow more controversial (?). With his blunt answers in interview, makes some Triple S a bit taken a back. He stated that he keep in contact with some members and doesn't keep in contact with other members. Nah, I took his statement as below.

  That statement is true I think. I won't judge him that he's forgetting them and so on. Isn't it natural for people to grow a bit apart with close friends, when each of them go separate way? I'm not saying they are no longer close friends, it's just (probably) they are not as close as before. My best friends when I was 6th grader were not my best friends when I was 7th grader. Even a year of separating brings a lot of change. I saw this in Pretty Little Liars, a TV serial. A group of girls who were best friends are not anymore in 1 year later. But, they are still friends. Only not as close as before. So, I'm sure Leader doesn't forget about Jung Min nor Hyung Jun. Anyway, even if they are still close with each other... he doesn't have to say it, does he? Actions speak louder than words. And also more believable. Although he said he doesn't keep in contact with them, I think he'd still updated himself about their activities.

  Plus, they are matured. The way they have fun and keep in contact when they are in Deja Vu era for example, and now, must be different. They are still dorks, but in a different way. Just because they are not seen together it doesn't mean they never hang out together. And yeah, they are busy too. Those 5 never in Korea at the same moment. Right now, Hyun Joong in Japan while the other 4 in Korea. Even if all of them in Korea, their schedules is tight.

So please for any Triple S who read this, I suggest you, please don't accused that Leader forgot his members or SS501 will never comeback or whatsoever. Such accusation will hurt him and the other members. Yeah, maybe Leader has change. But Young Saeng, Kyu Jong, Jung Min and Hyung Jun also have change. Their solo activities change them. They have better talents in many areas because now each of them have their own coaches. Isn't that good for them?

  Fellas, they asked you to believe in their words. As simple as that. And I am. I will believed in their words, until there are proofs that they are lying and not keeping their promise. SS501 has always been keeping their promise, although maybe they take a long time to fulfill it. And if they can't keep their promise, I'm sure there are explanations, and I will try to understand it as long as it's acceptable with my logic.

Next post will be the changes in Triple S.

this is not written by me but i love this essay! so shoving it here so i could easily showing people why i love SS501^^ and this also what i thought about them. this written exactly like what's in on my mind.

There's a big possibility that no one would waste their time on this rant, but still, I don't care. I have to get it out.

So, a while ago I was watching SS501's Love Ya MV on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VprGHf3-144) when I read a comment regarding them. It wasn't a negative one but actually one that I agree alot to. I also believe that SS501 could penetrate the world market if only they didn't have the language barrier. They are unique from the common idols who are too commercialized, puffery, caked faced and chipmunk voices now a days.

SS501, in my opinion, is one of the most underrated idol group. Why? They are underrated because they seem to be overrated. How can I say this? People think they are overrated because they think that they only got famous because of HJL's success in his drama, BOF, which is in fact kinda true but not entirely. I would be lying if I say that it wasn't because they did get a little more famous after BOF but don't get me wrong, they are already famous at that time. BUT unknowledgeable people seem to think that they are overrated just because of HJL which is in no way true. And the fact is UR MAN was a big success even before BOF was showed to public. Because of this mindset, people seem to think that they have no talents at all and does not even bother to get to know more about them thus, making them underrated. I hate it when they say they don't have talents when each of them have advanced in their own expertise. I also hate the fact that jung min's success in his musical was overlooked. He was awarded for his role for god's sake! And people tell me he can't act! People tell me kyu jong can't sing when they can't even explain to me why he had made a lot of OSTs for dramas.

And so, going back to the starting point, I was watching their MV and scrolled down to the comments and saw some really mean ones. I hate the fact that they are being compared to other artists in a very insulting and inferior way when I think otherwise. I think that out of all the idol groups today, SS501, in my opinion, is the most genuine. I don't even consider them as idols anymore coz they really don't act like one thus, giving them that CLASS which is very uncommon in their industry and I like how frank they are. Most of the idols today are too commercialized and too fake for my taste and too concerned about their "IDOL" image. Some are too eager to get attention and some are even better off to becoming a group of entertainers than artists. I always wonder how SS501 could pull off anything without being concerned on their IDOL image. They'll go for anything that were settled for them but they don't come off as cocky.

I hate the fact that they're UNDERRATED. is it just me who thinks like this?

I seriously think that out of all the idol groups that are not promoted by SM entertainment, SS501 are the only ones who could compete against any of their artists. (Excluding the girl groups, coz let's face it, in KPOP today, even if you have the voice of a chipmunk but if you're a girl and the face, you'll make more money than that of a talented group one. right?) Have anyone noticed that SM don't date their artists comeback with the same date as SS501's usually? I used to wonder how bigger they could get if they have the superior promoting power like SM entertainment. We all know that DSP are not really good at promoting but despite this fact, SS501 really hit it big even before BOF!

I hate it when people say they didn't win any major awards when they did. Didn't they win the rookie award? in both korea and in japan when they also promoted there? I hate it when people compare them too much to SUJU and think that they're inferior to them when in fact even before SORRY SORRY came, SS501 won awards against SUJU. [correct me if I'm wrong. I have nothing against SUJU because I'm a fan too.] Even shindong of SUJU proclaimed that SS501 is a threat to them when Jung min told the listeners the story when they were rehearsing for their comeback of LOVE YA. [Okay I'll tell the story. SS501 was in shimshimtapa and jung min said that when they were rehearsing for their comeback, it gave him a shock that all 10 members of suju watched them rehearse after SUJU finished their rehearsal. Because usually, when an artist is done performing, they usually go back straight to their dressing rooms. It even gave him a shock to see heechul staring straight towards them in his black glasses. Then, shindong replied, that even if it's their friends and colleagues, they always check their competition.] My point is, why do fans keep on making troubles for themselves when in fact SUJU, SS501, DBSK and even BIGBANG are all friends even before debut? THIS FRUSTRATES ME ALOT. Then, people say that it wasn't true when I have even watched a video back when SUJU and SS501 were on the same stage in japan back in 2005 or 2006. They are all good friends towards each other. They hugged and joked around like what friends do when they were on backstage, especially yesung and youngseang. Baby was even fooling around his eunhyuk hyung. And baby is a good friend of kangin. When baby was shooting some show, he saw kangin going in to the room next door. Kangin saw him and went back and approached him and they hugged. They even went far from the camera and talked in whispers while their arms are on each other's waists. This was during deja vu days. Even DBSK are good friends with SS501. I think everyone knows that so why compare?

I love SS501 because they are versatile. In all the idol groups I've watched and seen, SS501 is the only group that could pull off anything that is thrown to them. And they're the only group who is continuously invited VIP in fashion shows because of their great sense of style. They're really flexible. In my opinion, out of all the idol groups who have done highclass photoshoots SS501 are the most effective as models. Argh. I hate the fact that I couldn't say enough.

I love them because they didn't have to resort to their sexuality to gain attention. they didn't stripped or showed unnecessary skin to get attention. They did music for music and not for attention and fame.

I love SS501 not just because of their appearances but because of their depth and personalities. I've researched alot about them and read millions of fanaccounts from their events. Each of them never fails to amazed me. I'll share some to you who is reading this useless ranting. In one of the shows they were recording, SS501 was eating during their break time, but when they saw their fans, they stopped eating and gave out food to the audience. Jung min on another fanaccount was in one of the shows they were recording when he went to the washroom and came back holding blankets for the female artists in the same show who were wearing super short clothes. The director of strong heart or some other show ordered the staff of the show to never edit out SS501's cuts because of great fond towards them. A PD in one of the show said that SS501 would always lean on each other and are always TOGETHER. They don't wait for others to do stuff for them but they take the initiative and serve themselves. He also said that it was the first time for him to see an IDOL GROUP to have such a strong bond that is very visible to anyone who are fortunate to see them. Even their manager said that if you would check their call logs in their phones, all you could see are each of the member's names aside from their families. A fanaccount also said that Leader have kyu jong's picture in his passport during BOF shooting in case he miss kyu jong when he's away from them. They don't ever forget to show respect to anyone. Be it their juniors or some stranger. I know koreans are really respectful. It's in their culture but SS501's respect is beyond from the common. I am always amazed at how they show respect first to anyone even to their juniors by bowing 90 degrees. It was a first for me to see an IDOL GROUP who knelt down and bowed to their fans as a sign of gratefulness. And no, I wasn't talking about the time when they won in LOVE YA but even during their first year of debut to their asian tour concert. If you would check the time they knelt during their LOVE YA win, you would see shindong at the side of the stage clapping towards them and doing two thumbs up continuously, expressing his reaction towards the gesture they've done

(see? what's the point on comparing these two bands? we all have our own tastes in KPOP. people should learn to mind their own business.


Believe me, I am not making these stories. If you search around quite well, you'll see for yourself.


They have gained respect not only from their juniors like U-KISS, (they wanted to become like SS501. if you watch their interviews, they're consistent on saying that SS501 is their role model. They have such great respect towards them and this is not just because kibum is baby's bro.) their co-workers and other idol groups but from their seniors as well in different areas of the entertainment industry. They didn't gain this type of respect just because of their achievement in their fields but because no matter how far they have gone, they're still down to earth and humble towards anyone. The success they gained didn't get into them. They didn't change. And I think, this kind of respect gained from the people around you is the highest form. You gain this kind of respect when you've won them through the person you are/personal achievement and not because of money or possession. These characteristics of them makes them untouchable or makes oneself intimidated. If you watch fancams you'll understand what I'm saying. Even other groups are hesitant to sometimes approach them. Even one host in an interview commented that SS501 gives off an aura that seems like only them could be in it which makes other people have difficulty to approach them. Especially when all five of them are together, people think that the atmosphere is quite tensed but from the people who have known SS501, they are the most warm and friendly people they've met. And this is why the bond between triple S and SS501 is strong. And now I know why SS501 have such great influence towards their fans. And now I know why Triple S is the most harmless fanbase of all. I have a lot more stories about them but this portion is getting quite long.



I love the respect, concern and love they have towards each other and their fans. People may see leader as someone who's wacky, funny and 4D but to the members, he's alot more. Not only the members see this side of leader but the staff too. The members respect leader because they see him as someone who is worthy to follow. Baby likes leader alot because he doesn't have a hyung to take care of him until he met leader. Leader would always take care of his members and will always think of them. During his shooting of BOF, he was filmed carving their group name, SS501, on an ice statue in the set showing how much he miss his members. One time at taiwan, leader entered the conference room and checked everything that was in the hall then, Hyung jun entered the hall. He didn't notice that the Taiwanese host greeted him in korean. Leader called baby back and told him to greet the host. The PD said that Leader seriously stared at baby as he watched baby properly greeted the host back and apologized for not noticing. After knowing that baby did the right thing, he went back to his cheery self. Taiwanese staff were even more surprised to see leader serving cups of water to his members when they usually see the dongsaengs of the idol groups they have encountered are the ones who does the serving. This is from a taiwanese magazine. There was a tv show that requires the fans to vote their favorite idols through text for their idols to win. When they were asked to say something to their fans to ask for support, without hesitation they said, we don't like our fans spending money for us. We don't like this kind of thing. *jung min looked at the camera and said* It's okay, you don't need to vote for us. (i watched this on youtube. The vid might be still available). It is also a first to me when they openly said to the public that they hate receiving expensive gifts from fans. They reject the gift and always give it back to the person. There was also a fanaccount where in there was a situation when she and some other fans waited for them outside their dorms. Their neighbors were complaining about the noise. All 5 of them went out to see the situation but leader asked his members to go back in and handled the situation himself and apologized to their neighbors. Jung min and kyu jong once helped a university student to continue her studies when she wasn't able to. Baby once held a hand of a fan who cried when she saw them and helped her wipe her tears. All of them said before that they always felt that they have to watch over kyu jong alot because he was too kind that people tend to take advantage of him. Youngseang, during their pre-debut days would always buy kyu jong food because he knows that kyu jong does not have the ability to. And have everyone seen the support SS501 gave jung min when he was starting to open his business? I was touched to see baby visit him when he didn't have a schedule and youngsaeng doing the photoshoot of the clothes. And kyu jong's promise to buy him a humidifier. And leader's pledge to quit the entertainment scene if jung min have a counterfeit!

HAHA. jung min even said that the members were even more worried of him opening a business than his own parents!



okay, what I'm saying is, why people can't see all these great things about them? And worse, people think they're inferior and didn't accomplish much. Are they not worthy because they don't use autotune? Do they not get the attention they deserve because they don't have the same amount of scandals like other groups? Or are they not worthy of attention because they don't show off their skin?



I hate the fact that their success are often shadowed by someone's scandal. Just because they're not active in a scandalous way doesn't mean they're not worth it. It's a music industry, you're suppose to make music, not news. And I hate it when they are considered as one of the quiet groups just because they don't make scandals. We all know that their biggest scandal is about their contracts which isn't even a scandal!



I could say all these observations because I observed all other idol groups as well before I have come to a conclusion of how I see SS501. And I was able to do so because I wasn't a diehard fan of SS501. I used to follow alot of group but I think SS501 deserved something to justify who they are, what they are and what they had achieved, achieving and will be achieving.



Yes, people may disagree with me but then again, these are only my opinions based on the facts I've read and seen.



all I could say is, IF EVER they are to not continue as SS501, the career they've journeyed through were magnanimous and worth it. We may not see them as SS501 on stage anymore but their brotherhood goes farther than what we see on stage. That's why I hate it when people say they are disbanding in such a mean way. Yes, it is just a name but that name is what brought them together and that bond formed by the five of them goes farther than what the eyes can see. Brotherhood and friendship is unseen by the eyes but felt by the heart.



but my hope isn't gone. They're going back! they might be gone for a year or so for their solo activities but they'll be back together on stage! Don't deny it, you, who is reading this post, is excited to see them advance on different fields! :"> right? haha. It's really hard to be fan of a multi-talented group. Coz once they do their solo activities, we are all on the run on who to watch out for and that fangirl in each one of us will kick/scream or shout like crazy once you see updates about them in different fields! HAHAHA.

Kim Hyun-joong setelah debut dengan anggota SS501 pada tahun 2005, sebagai Hallyu star terkemuka disebutkan menikmati popularitas yang luar biasa di Jepang, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, dsb. Terutama setelah debut sebagai aktor di KBS 2TV drama ‘Boys Over Flowers’ yang ditayangkan pada awal 2009, dengan peran sebagai F4 Yoon JiHoo, ‘Sindrom Jihoo Sunbae’ menikmati popularitasnya sebagai aktor. dan melalui acara entertainment di MBC “We Got Married” yang juga mendapatkan cinta dari fans wanita.


Yang Geunhwan, wakil dari Key East mengatakan “Dengan potensi yang beragam sebagai penyanyi dan aktor, akan menunjukkan awal baru yang lebih baik.” dan “Untuk saat ini, agar Kim Hyun Joong generasi selanjutnya dari Hallyu Star populer di tingkat Asia, tidak akan luput dari pengembangan ke tingkat internasional selanjutnya dengan dukungan intensif.”


Ofisial yang lain juga mengatakan “Kim Hyun Joong dan juga anggota SS501 yang lain berkomitmen tidak ingin bubar. Jika ada kesediaan dari anggota lainnya tetap akan ada aktivitas bermusik.“ dan “Dan jika kami memiliki musik yang bagus, kemungkinan untuk bersolo akan tetap terbuka.”


Saat ini Kim Hyun Joong menyelesaikan aktivitas album SS501 yang baru saja dirilis. Penampilan berikutnya masih akan ditinjau.

Hello this is DSP.


SS501's promotional activities for 'LOVE YA' has had ended its
run last week on the 13th June. Due to this short promotional period,
we know that fans would surely be feeling very overwhelmed with sadness.
SS501 had debuted on June 8, 2005 through KMTV's Music Bank,
and so soon, it's already been 5 years that's flowed by~


SS501's contract validation period, as all of you should know,
has had ended on June 7, 2010.


While preparing for this time's album and carrying out activities
with every member, we had already carried out discussions with one
another. In consideration of their expiry of contract, we had decided
for their 'Love Ya' promotional period to last for only about 2~3 weeks.


May it be SS501 or may it be us, none of us is certain or clear
about the future moves, and because of that,
we're not able to talk about it officially as of yet,
but once we have decided, we will let all TripleS know.


This time's DESTINATION album's song inclusive 'Let me be the one'
will be made into a music video as a form of their comeback period
'making', and it will be ready around mid of next week where you could
view it.
For more concrete information, we will post about it again~


To the many TripleS who are feeling very upset about this short
promotional period, we hope that TripleS could feel slightly
less upset after the Let Me Be The One music video is released
as you watch and play it.


Though it's only been 2 weeks of promotional period, but to our
TripleS who's given them the biggest accolation -- Number 1!!
